Tolerate It

Calm air, cold breeze

Warm hands, new jeans

A child’s laugh echos in the herd

Flashback all in a blur

Back when I was her

Keeping me safe

Left my past a cold case

Fell out of place

Now I’m what you hate

Feeling all this weight

I’ve barely ate in days

All you do is stare

Never seemed to care

You never really tried

Always made me lie

I wasn’t made to fit

But all you do is tolerate it.
