Together We Are The World

"What do you want to be when you grow up?"

-My child ears were berated by this question

"A Doctor or Lawyer, or Undersea Explorer"

-Why does it matter?my child mind would wonder

Adults would ask, waiting for an answer

Now that I'm older, I have an answer

I want to be some one who has grown

Someone who has gone from a child to an "Adult"

I want to make a change in the world, by experiencing the change

The world needs people to care, and I want to care about it

Every job is a job worth doing

If you are willing to do it right

I want to be some one who has learned

Some one who will keep learning

I want to expand my mind with knowledge of the world

The world is full with new things, waiting for me to open my eyes to them

It will take the support of a strong Family

Shared tears and sweat, arguments and toil

It will take determination and long nights

Studying for hours, learning for years

Who I want to be when I grow up is a strong confident women

What I want to be when i grow up is an aid for international development

The world is changing rapidly

people are becoming more and more connected

with the click of a button

our world and cultures collide

Just one job could change my life

but with just one job, I too could change lives
