Those who view their love not as something to be earned, but as something given freely

I am inspired by those who hurt

the ones who forget that not everyone loves as they do

the ones who are used, ignored, or drained 

the ones whose love who is not returned

I am inspired by those who remain unchanged

the ones that choose not to bitter with the tears that dry on their cheeks

the ones who will smile despite the pain of so much giving

the ones who feel so intensely and get burned when we do not return the favor
