Think Before

What Would You Change?

Fag

Loser

Fatty

Nut Job

Shouted from the roof tops

Stuck on the mind

A piece of chewed gum glued to your mind

Broken

Unwanted

Worthless

Nothing

Silent killers to the unknown

Inner demons rocking your confidence

Like a level five earthquake rattling the shattered structure

of a already fragile home

Words crawl underneath your skin

squirming into the darkest part of yourself

decompsing the light in your soul

Words illuminate who you have become

enliven your inner fighter

kindle a dampened flame

Every syllable that escapes one's lips

Every confabulation that barrels into another's ears

Every phrase a bystander committs to ignore

All the greatest diaster that plague our nation starts with one decision

Girl driven to chucking her food by the peers who claim to be her friends

Boy shoved into the comfort of a blade by the superior sports guys

Mother induced to liquid swelling over rocks to let her forget for a little while

Father compulsed to gain bloody knuckles to protect his child's safety

Sister who ends her self to be reunited with her sibling

Brother ambitious to grasp at revenge ruthless in nature

Family dismembered by words

Think

What are we teaching the next generation?

That it is okay to destory another to preserve yourself

That words don't have a meaning

That you can use any word as long as you are joking

We are no better then the words we put forth

then the actions we release to the words

Twenty years from today I do not want to look back and wonder

Change

That's all we can plead for

When did words become insults?

I praise for the day that my friends are not used for shame

If we want the world to change

We must blaze the path we wish to see

I hope for a day that people actually think before they speak
