To Their Beauty All Others Were Blind
The young boy dances in the summer rain
All the kids point and mom calls him inside
But the beat keeps on; the boy can’t explain
His parents shut the windows with hurt pride.
He goes to school, alone in a full room
Teachers whisper and hold conferences
No harm does he cause, but still they assume
He’s troubled because of his diff’rences.
The years pass by and the boy stays the same
Never concerning himself with others
Then she comes along and changes the game
By his quirks she doesn’t seem bothered.
He was so genuine, she was so kind
And to their beauty all others were blind.
