The System

They say you are who you are

And the world does not make you

You are who you want to be

You are what you're good at

You are you -- and no one else

Bullshit

You parents mold you like clay

The world forces society on you

Where there is only feminine and masculine, girl and boy, straight and gay, good and bad

Your friends impose peer pressure

That destroys you to fit in

Your thoughts are not your own

Your actions are not your own

You mind is never your own

Life is cruel

It lies to you

And pretends that a person is their own

When a person really is the product of a system

That everyone can control -- except themselves
