The Sun

The sun is an unforgiving demon in the sky.

It sends beams of heat at me, hoping I will die.

It stares at me all day, hidden beneath a tree.

Even shade cannot spare me from its enmity.

The coolest water cannot soothe its burn,

Its hatred is infinite and its gaze is stern.

They say it breathes life through the power of fire,

But whoever says that is completely a liar.

It only breathes death with its tremendous gaze,

And it will scorch the Earth until the end of its days.
