Suffrage

Seneca Falls 1848

Remember that date

Remember the next one-

1920

Seventy two years

Seventy two YEARS

Is that fair?

Is it right?

I wasn’t there

But I would have joined that fight

I would have changed their minds

I want people to change their brains

The way we think

I want people to see

I want people to SEE

See the gray

See from their eyes

Don’t let the hope of equality decay

Don’t reprise-

The past thoughts of men who were of insignificance

Stop intolerance

Change your heart

I would end sexism

That’s where I’d start

If I could change one schism
