Stronger With Words

When my voice alone proves me powerless,

when all it does is spread more harm than good

and goes ignored and deaf

by the people who need to hear me the most,

I am stronger with words.

With my words at my disposal,

I can create the most persuasive of essays,

back up the most absurd of opinions,

be seen as a bright individual

and not just a loud-mouthed fool.

They give me my confidence

to go against the norm

and be who I dare to be.

They make me the individual I am

and guarantee no one can take that away from me.

I am flawless

when the words on print

express who and what I am.

I am flawless

when I'm stronger with words.
