Strangers in Love

I’ve swallowed the burning flames before,

With every breathe I inhale for,

My heart has wept for you once more,

My love is banging at your door,

And I’m searching for your touch,

But God will never hear my prayer,

And my soul will continue to have an endless tear,

But whoever said life was fair,

I’ve swallowed the burning flames before,

With every breathe I inhale for,

My heart has wept for you once more,

I’ve seen the distance in your eyes,

And to me that’s no surprise,

Wishing for a way out of here,

So let’s take a leap of faith my dear,

I’ve swallowed the burning flames before,

With every breathe I inhale for,

My heart has wept for you once more,

And let’s never look back on the past,

Because it’s like an ocean that swells me up,

With emotions greater than myself,

And I can’t bare the feeling of you with someone else,

I’ve swallowed the burning flames before,

With every breathe I inhale for,

My heart has wept for you once more,

How I ponder on the little things,

Who make you who you are,

Hoping that through the darkness you’d be my shooting star,

I’ve swallowed the burning flames before,

With every breathe I inhale for,

My heart has wept for you once more,

One day you’ll realize that I’m talking about you,

But until then I’ll be a stranger,

And all we’ll exchange is a glance or two,
