stop

i walk outside, my four walls behind me, a subtle breeze sweeps across my cheek i stand frozen as my eyes take in whats around me, i feel the earth’s beating heart, the air deep in its lungs; it pulses, it breathes in it continues, but i am not apart of it it is something separate, it is all around me  though i do not know it  a red stop light sends a dreadful reality  i am in a momentary pause, but when, when,  with all the lights blurring into one another, when do i resume  the world as unmindful it is,  it continues faster and faster  around my still quiet body, it does not see me not at all and so unapologetically, it does not stop
