Stephon Clark’s Execution

Tue, 04/03/2018 - 10:58 -- Na

You were shooting in the dark
Succumbed to your conditioning
adrenaline and false positioning
No evidence, no threats, nothing...
Blinded by your motivation
Guided by your determination
you found a moving target
Convinced, you fired 20 times
20 times...
you shot your gun 20 times
Each shot, like sharp neon buzzing signs
Spat out one by one 20 times

Incompetence
Fear
Ignorance
Trigger happy
Stereotype
Egotistical
Authoritative
Racist beliefs
Superiority
Recklessness
Crazed
Sadistic
Frenzied
Judgment
Cowardice
Arrogance
Unpredictable
Unhinged
Immature
Paranoid ideation

Now tell me,
when you close your eyes at night
do your pathways light up the flight
To your inner rabid dog, frothing
it’s blood thirsty depraved appetite?
I ask you this because
how else could you shoot at a man 20 times?
In the dark
never once knowing Stephon Clark...
20 times!
Never once being harmed
20 times!
Unarmed

Like rabies, a grotesque disease
Running rampant through
Our blue uniformed elite
Shame on those who are infected
And those who stand by the elected
Men and woman whose fiery insides
Aim to kill, not to protect black lives
Like a dog, he can be a man’s best friend
He will have your back till the very end
But be he rabid there is no mend
To this racist feast he must defend!

this is super good I really enjoyed it. It's sad that there aren't more people writing about Stephon Clark's death. It seems that after a few days no one cares and just accepts it.

Thanks for letting me know how you feel about what i wrote. It pains me and angers me so much to hear stories like those of Stephon Clark, Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner and soooo many other horrific act of violence against a person of color. People need to rewire their brains and stop this conditioning! Pigment does not mean anything more than color! Thanks again for reading what i wrote!
