The Stage

Location

They say the world's a stage

Filled with actors hoping to memorize lines to a page

Well I hope to skip to the chapter where it all ends

Where lies come to a stop and we can begin to mend

Because these masks these actors show, don't seem to belong to a human being

Actors have become dependent on material objects that it seems they're always leaning

Unstable

Unable

To hold to their beliefs and be stable

Because they want to turn into what they see

Because apparently what they see is unique

One of a kind, but in reality it's obsolete

The lies need to be updated with the truth

It'll probably be a grandslam awakening like it was Babe Ruth

But this media has slowly diluted people's sense of emotion

Letting life pass by and going through the motion

Their soul is slowly twisting into a contortion

It's obvious the world is in need

To not become artificial and let everyone know that we're humans and we do bleed

We do feel

We do care

We do require love in situations of despair

I just hope these actors change their artificial way of living

And get in touch with their true selves by going back to the beginning
