Spite

What ever happened

Harsh word

Screaming voices

Raised hands

Shoving down

Why it happened

Slamming doors

Broken glass

Digested food

Coming up

What was said

Stupid

Fat

Pig

Too much

It didn’t matter

Spite began to show

No matter what

I could be

Exactly what

I was told not.

Someone says die

I cling to life harder

Someone says I can’t

I do it so much better

Spite is a leader

An enabler

A mentor for the weak

A partner for the strong

Spite

is what taught

me to live
