Sorrow

I was never graced with such sorrow

Until Sorrow did grace me

He landed on my door step

And what other choice

Than allow him to retrieve

The naïve heart, that rests in me

I cradled Sorrow and cared deeply for the sadness

And when he finally decided to leave

I pleaded and cried

With whimpers of sorts

Grasping but not touching

The hand of Sorrow left me

It left me sad and hopeless

But I smiled to myself in thought

Sorrow will always come back

And Sorrow did return

Wilting flowers in his left hand

And his right held out to me

I smiled so brightly

Jumping into his arms

Sorrow is mine

Never to leave
