Sonnet of Surrender

I wish you could see you as I see you,
So for a little bit, let me break through,
Through walls of stubborn mortar and hard brick,
I promise you I will be very quick.

Your smile dances all across my mind,
Your sweet voice leaves my heart in a tight bind.
Your soft eyes shine brighter than any star,
How I wish I wasn’t so very far.

My heart cries, begs, and pleads to be with you,
So I can show my love for you to be true.
So I can show you a world lost from view,
Our hearts soon to be born fresh and anew.

I wish you could see you as I see you,
Forever and a day, let me break through.
