something the world should see

Racism

A problem that surfaced since the beginning of time,

All just about if you live above or below a line.

A line that separates the hot and cold

Is the difference between a gun you hold.

slavery, Segregation and discrimination

Are one of the many ways to describe our nation.

America the home of the brave and the land of the free,

An amount of melanin or pigmentation is what we see,

We are born with these pigments, these so called "colors"

Black, white, yellow, pink and brown

All of a sudden it's something to be frowned,

Because I was born farther from the sun im accepted.

The closer the sun gets, you're a reject.

How the fuck does that make sense?

Just because our ancestors worked in a field,

It  doesn't make a change to how we should feel.

Using slurs against other races when really,

They are just tanner which is silly.

Once people crack open a book and realize this fact,

Maybe we would be able to make a pact.

That nothing but melanin separates you from me,

And that’s something the world must see.
