THAT SOMEONE IS ME

Location

Are you that someone, to tell me I’m pretty

Are you that someone, to tell me your better than the world,

Are you that someone to say, pick your head up because it’s not worth it

You see, no one had ever told me about myself worth,

Until one day when I looked in the mirror,

Just a simple car ride home that turned into an intervention of sorts,

Someone might say, you really thought that low of yourself,

Yes, that answer is yes, that someone WAS me,

That’s right, WAS,

WAS, the past tense of IS,

I am no longer controlled by WAS, but destined by IS

So I am the someone who will tell myself I’m pretty,

So I am the someone who will tell me I’m better than the world,

So I am the someone who will pick my head up because it’s not worth it

That’s right, that someone is me.
