Solitary Sand

I stand along this solitary sand

The sun rising at it's peak

Salty waves creeping upon the shoreline

Ninety-five days is the streak

Whimsic waters slither under my toes

The light shines upon my tan

I greet this lonesome island as my home

I am confined without man

My mind has kept me with good company

With humor still fixed witty

The remote sea washed away my troubles

Of life in the lost city

This poem is about:
Me

This poem reflects on how the only the thing I need on a deserted island is myself. Being alone is okay and keeps me from the rigors and stress of living in society.
