Solace

Today I glimpsed

to the warm sun relfected

over the cold blue water

on the horizon

gone, when night came

Of course this is a metaphor

for the light and dark of skies

the wamth of day and the shivers at night

th moon that strips

the sunshine away

At home in the nights summer bay

I sat in solace where memories flowed

Like a movie on repeat in my head

neverending

Where the stars glowed and died

where the souls in heaven have gone

comfort at night

remedied the pain

And his song goes on and on
