societal conventions

"Slim, thickcurves

She has to be a brick house

With a face to match"

These are the words used to describe "the type"

The girl society provides as perfect

And who am I to complain

Just the face of it

I'm the girl society says is prefect

Yet I am ashamed

I hide away my body

Like a leapord

I face people who complain

About the way I look

How I am too prefect

And they think i will never know what it is like to hide my body away

Because I am everything Beauty Magazines and Tv says I should be

Yet I look to you for validation

I look to my peers to give me my feed back

And they say

You will never be the same

Never be us

And they look at me with disdain and jealousy

And yet they think i don't know their pain

Prefection

Society's idea of beauty

My own personal Shame
