Snakes in the Grass

Mon, 09/26/2022 - 12:14 -- mrHenny

All around you are snakes-

Serpents peeking through green blades,

Awaiting to strike their cynical fangs and make your heart ache

Comfortably coiled in evil

Cleverly hidden in the grass

Using sycophantic motives as a protective hardcast

The snakes seek protection

They seek security and peace

Only feeling fulfilled when they see your soul weep

The snakes have a passion

Solely revolving around itself

And therefore will sympathize with nothing else

Walking upon these creatures,

You’ll only see a blind spot-

Animals pretending to be something they’re not

After the show’s over,

As you turn away from the games,

These clowns will strike your back and dessert you, mamed.

They’ll drain you of life

Of all opportunity and hope

As you lay there stressing of how to possibly cope

The wounds never heal.

The blood never retracts

And what’s left is your wish to be able to go back

To redo your mistakes

And repent your losses

Don’t you see how much that relationship just cost us?

Learn from your mistakes

Pay attention to your brain

For there are plenty of snakes wanting to leave you

Mamed.
