Smile

Behind my smile

is sadness and hurt.

I hate showing who I really am.

I like to relax and let the bad slip away from

memory.

When I hear

someone tell

me, "you're ugly"

or "you're fat",

I smile.

I can't let people see my

pain,

they'll know

my weakness.

So, I'll smile.

For every punch,

they will get

a smile.

Kids are ruthless animals

that will tear at

you every chance

they get.

I feel the coldness

of society

around every corner.

I know I'm special,

unique, one of a kind.

I just have to remember to

smile.
