Sleeping Can't Plead

<Opening>

Birth, isolation, indulgement in nature

Innocence, happiness, bounded in Eden

Dancing, smiling, someone else’s pleasure.

<Decision>

Loneliness, questioning, bringing up her make

Discovery, spotted, curiosity in the man

Willingness, excitement, not knowing what he’d take.

“Visions are seldom all they seem!”

<Outcome>

Little Rora never knew

Powerful men and what they can do

So naively she took a handsome stranger’s hand

It was all working out, just as the Maleficent had planned

Use the Prince, lure her in

Feed her in pills, dose her in sin

Who needs consent

He knew not what it meant

Once she sleeps, she can’t fight him off

Put it in her mouth, she can’t cough

Let her be, let her be

Sleeping Can’t Plead, not Sleeping Beauty
