Sleep

I slip into a dream

Every time I wake up

Of happiness, sadness,

Love, and lust.

I look at the map,

Take a glance at the sun,

And follow the path.

To God's glory I run.

Sweet sapphire eyes

That tickle my heart,

Don't play coy with me.

I loved you right from the start.

Like a rousing whisper,

The Ancient of Days' Wind

Whistles in my ears

Even though I have sinned,

"Your cup overflows.

If a boat, you would sink.

Son, give up the dream

And bring all those a drink."

The joy of this life

Is to put it at stake

For the Eternal Father

Who keeps us awake.
