Sister.

Shouts, screams

Slamming doors

Banging on walls

Banging on floors

Broken glass

Scared voices

Timid eyes

Hard choices

Send her away

Or keep the anger

Fix the problem

Or retain the danger

Seconds of happiness

Weeks of fighting

Show her love

She’ll go on biting

Razor teeth

In family flesh

Nothing to do

We want what’s best

Not to be perfect

Only kind

It’s somewhere in there

But hard to find

Where’s the girl

So sweet and gentle

I lie and hope

It’s just a rental

Give her love

And family virtue

There’s no way

She’ll ever hurt you.
