Sinkhole
Location
Your words caved into my heart
Collapsed my chest
You stunned me with your lips
And I woke up in a crypt
It’s dark in this grave that you put me in,
And I wonder how deep you buried me
Will I ever again see the light of day?
Or am I left down here to decay?
We built a home in a coffin,
And I was sucked by a sinkhole to the center of the Earth.
You watched me drown in blackness as
I descended into eternity without you.
But this is what you wanted,
And what you wanted was not me.
Deep inside, as I cried, your sorrow façade became clear to me.
Goodnight world, and to people like you.
Maybe down here, I won’t be hurt again.
