Shutter Stayed Open

Location

A breeze, trembling as it channels down through the trees,

Articulates itself to me as talking leaves sail from the higher bodies of nature.

Its breaths, fading as vapor dissolves to satiety in the rising mist,

Elaborate    numinous    manifestations    of    divine    intentions,

And brush across my face with a cool collection of moisture from the brook.

With a cool collection, I bow

Mindful of moving water closely framing that which flows freely,

                                                         Framing that, where all

Identity is reflected

As the shutter opens to the stream,

      To the world around me,

And closes to my distinguishing eyes.
