Shoes Off
Not all poems have to be deep
Like a small puddle, reveal your feet, jump in.
Some are short and sweet
With words that bond strong like iron.
Or so funny you'll slap your knee
But don't hurt yourself, silly
Four those scars may heal.
Heart mind body and sole
Hurt my body in solitude
Not making any sense, like shoes without feet.
Like poems that stop rhyming,
O' the irony. O' the humanity
Making a couple of dollars cup of cents.
Begging like a homeless man
To be heard to be read.
Not. Yet. Whole.
Incomplete.
All poems deep.

Our world
