She

Her skin is pale, making the dark areas around her eyes protrude in stark contrast.

Her eyes are weary, cautious. A penned up animal.

Her body is wiry, thin, long. Spindly, like a cat or a spider. Agile and possible deadly.

Bones flex under the thin canvas.

She wonders why she lives like this, force feeding herself lies that she chokes on painfully.

Her heart beats painfully against a hollow breast,

And she cries herself to sleep yet again,

Torn apart by an invisible monster.
