September Hearts

I swayed through September
A leaf in the breeze
Through buzz of bee
And set of sun
The sounds of wonder had begun

I jumped into June
with a wish on my mind
nothing to say
no manners, not kind
I was pulled into the current
Cold ocean no assurance
that you could rescue me

And on this stage, as in this heart
a weary beat did pound
a rushing tune
of worried sound
could our eyes have met too soon?

And in this mind, as in this world
a echo softly thrums
that swayed through September
And jumped with heart towards June
