Seed

Location

There was a little seed
One planted six feet down
Hidden from earths greed
Innocence in the ground

Each and every day it grew
Never in a hury
Had lots of time to think things through
Not a care, not a worry

One day the little seed
Grew into a stunning tree
In the sky it took the lead
As far as they eye could see

One strange creater came along
Declaring "it must go!"
The tree cried out "this is wrong
I'm the last one on the road"

The creature never heard
The cries from all the rest
Once a lover of the bird
Now destroyer of the nest

"Please I am there home
For if you cut me down
They will lose all they own
There must be a way around"

These words reached the creatures ears
Left questions on his mind
"This tree has been here many years
I say it's had its time"

He then grabbed his killing tool
And began to chip away
Never felt more a fool
Than when he heard the tree say

"I may be old, I may have rings
Yes that much is true
But I opened my heart to many things
I can't say the same for you"

Society and creature, you go hand in hand
So caught up in selfish needs
You'll never understand

The best way to soar
Is to put aside your need
You'll be blessed with something more
If you start off as a seed.
