The Secret of My Senses

Location

I see

I see the storm brewing around me without any grey clouds in sight

I see the crash bound to happen when speeding on an empty road

I see the shining light in the darkness that is wrongfully avoided

I see the gifts I have been blessed with, no price tag attached

I see

I feel

I feel the pain of others’ bruises, though my flesh remains clean

I feel the anguish of others’ sorrows without hearing their troubles aloud

I feel the joy of others’ smiles though I may shed tears

I feel the embrace of the great unknown when I believe that I am lonely

I feel

I notice

I notice what they do not see

I notice what they do not feel

I notice that they may not notice me

I notice I may not let them notice me

But, I notice that I do not need to be noticed,

for what I see and what I feel has been noticed by me
