Scream

She was scarred.

Her body was numb; her hands were shaking; yet she was silent.

She looked up at the beige wall in front of her.

She pounded her fists against it, until her knuckles were as white as milk and the wall was red with blood.

How could she ever let this happen?

Anything but this…it was something that she could never undo.

She continued to hit the wall until she ran out of strength and her body collapsed around her.

She wept, and her grief penetrated to the depths of her soul, where the dark root of a scream was born.
