Robot, I am not

Tue, 08/12/2014 - 18:00 -- wonnie

If you're not perfect, then 99% of the time, you're not good enough

Mantra, philosophy, motivation

It binds me like ropes

It controls me like a puppet

It restricts me like chains

The thought of being less than

And the thought of being more than

Though they see a smile, they are missing the gears and servos.

A machine, a robot, a contraption

Built to factory spec

To be perfect is good

To be imperfect is bad

Fear of being sold off as a factory second

Fear of being returned for defect

It is something I try to run from, it is something I fear to be

But I want to be human

I want to be alive

But I want to be perfect

To be alive is to be human

And to be human is to err

To err means we are functioning as designed

My mantra, my philosophy, my motivation
