Rings

The last rays of Day slowly vanish

As I lay on the dirt

Your arms surrounds me as

Night quietly rises.

We lay there

On that cold hard dirt

Watching the stars reveal

Themselves to us above the treetops.

I slowly drift

With my head rested on the

Crook of your arm.

Fingers intertwine with yours.

I feel our rings rested against

Each other

Inseparatable

Like us

You whisper goodnight to me

As I close my eyes for the last

Time that night.

I squeeze my hand on yours hard

Our Rings pressed hard against each other.

Metal against Metal,

Sending me back to that day.

That Day, you had a suit

That Day, I had a dress

And that Day, I became yours forever.
