Returning Home

Location

Through distant hills that call to me,

Along the forests filled with trees.

Over roaring rivers and crystal seas,

Your voice of laughter floats in the air.

As a cloud floats over high above,

In the clear blue skies flies the dove,

The dove that brings forth the Master’s love,

So come your passion and your care.

As a lover holds his beauty’s heart,

And shows his affections from the start,

As though he were hit with Cupid’s dart,

To keep his maidens love, so fair.

Likewise a flower is planted deep,

Within a daisy field where the breeze doth sweep,

And we as lambs run to our sheep,

Like I, a returning soldier, back from despair.
