Remembrance

Location

If you became blind, what would you remember?

The color of autumn leaves in September?

Your mother's face;

The stars in space;

The spark of a fiery, glowing ember?

If you couldn't hear, but never ever forget

The sound of fireworks when the sun has set;

A laugh, a cry;

A heartfelt goodbye;

The purrs of a loving family pet.

And when you die, what will they hold dear?

The warmth of a friend that was always so near?

A light from above,

Shining with God's love;

Or will there be nothing but a life lived in fear?
