A Reason
Surely there's a reason there
Somewhere in gossamer wind
For all the darkly depressions
That hold so tight my friend
And once our scavenge closes
And our find is clear as light
We'll no longer see the darkness
Like we did that darkly night
For smiles come in handshakes
In kisses and in laughter
The love once seen before
Will be different once seen after
The day your mind is broken
Like a jar of coins and ash
We'll find what hid there deep
In the burnt and beaten trash
This poem is about:
Me
My family
My community
My country
Our world
