"Raised by Words"
Words like water,
wittling mountains into mines,
carving cathedrals into canyons.
Epitaph like earth,
steadfast in resolve,
yet constantly changing.
Fierce like fire,
sparked by revolution,
tamed only by time.
Ambiguous like air,
giving life,
or drowning us.
What Earth elements teach, is what poetry teaches:
To weather, to stand, to feel passion burning inside,
and to write like oxygen supply means another breath.
This poem is about:
Me
Our world
