Qui suis-Je? (Who am I?)

Qui suis-Je? (Who am I?)

by Keith Skinner

Who am I?

I am a human being, a man, but most of all a brother and a son.

A son of the universe and a man loyal to his kin, to each one.

In a family of five in the household I hold the youngest spot;

A spot in which I've held great pride ever since I was a tot.

My family has long revered creativity and the arts so I followed suit.

Writing novels is my craft and has been since I grew stem and root.

I will share my stories with the world for a living and for fun;

It is the fun that makes the experience feel like a home run.

With all that said it must be known what it is that I treasure.

Courage, strength and perseverance is important without measure.

Faith in all that is good and harmony within my life

Is vital for me to handle all challenges without strife.

People who know me call me down to earth and kind,

I am also considerate and not blind to those in a bind.

Helping others in need is what makes me feel like a winner.

Making someone else smile is what makes me Keith Skinner.
