The sea salt water masks the scent of decay in this town
Do you remember the old days?
This decrepit land was once fresh like a newborn baby boy.
It grew and grew
Until coral and moss expanded up every crevice
Crawling forward and eating every last scrap of innocence
I miss the old days.
Now this place is an old man,
All of these wrinkles hiding its crooked past.
Deep shadows under gloomy, dreamy eyes.

This poem is about:
My country
Our world
