Push Towards Happiness

Wake up. Run. Jump. Fall.

The cycles of failure race through my brain

I swim in a lake of my tearful demise

How did I get here?

Reluctance to stare at my reflection

Constantly talking and yet saying nothing

Pointless sorrow and a longing for tomorrow

How did I get here?

The train is here

Which direction shall I go

Up. Down. Fly. Fall.

Feels the same when you know the destination

How did I get here?

Oh no! Who's that standing in the distance?

The heat of their stare dries my tears

I bathe in their joyous warmth and understanding

How did I get here?

I'm beckoned. I follow.

I cling to their robe, bask in their light

I gain a new purpose in life

I know how I got here.
