Pressing On

Pressing On
You see life is strange with its twists and its turns
And each and every one of us eventually learns
that in order to succeed you must fail and along the road yes you will experience some betrayal
But not just that there's more to it for example those negative people that call you "stupid"
But all you have to do is nod instead and continue to plan your bright future ahead.
Even when everything around you just seems to be going wrong, and the road to success it seems so long
But just keep  pressing on, keep pressing on.
You see I believe our generation should walk in unity
Because there's A world out there full of so many opportunities.
But were so stuck on the idea of making it on our own and
Selfishness is actually all we've ever known.
Speaking on education man we take that for granted and instead of watering the seed that we've originally planted
That we planted we let it dry up and we use it as an excuse to say that we're "stuck"
In a way I feel like our generation is on a mission meaning us as a whole should have vision.
Stop the criticism and work as a team and guaranteed in the future we'll be where we want to be.
You see, society had its doubt when we decided to take different routes meaning it came as a surprise when a black man wanted to save lives instead of using knives.
And see it all takes me back to proving THEM wrong and staying strong that's why I say keep pressing on, keep pressing on.
See looking back in history and knowing our future is a mystery it says to me , "We can be , who we want to be" meaning there's no restriction and nothing holding us back
its our duty to keep ourselves on track.
