There is one thing I never leave at home.
My asana practice.
I take my practice with me everywhere.

If I was stranded in the middle of the desert,
I would need camel pose.

Backbends can save your soul,
backbends can crack your heart open.

Lost on an island I would need fish pose,
something restorative to facilate R&R.
Something restorative to restore hopes I'd get home.

I can make anything heaven or hell in my body.
I can make anything heaven or hell in my mind.

My yoga practice is never left at home,
it is an active practice in my body, mind, and soul.

So when the question is presented, "what is it?
what can I not live without?
what can I not leave at home?"
The answer comes clearly, like the ocean.

I know when I leave my yoga at behind,
I will die. I will enter my final meditation.
