The Power in Sadness

Fri, 10/16/2015 - 21:44 -- Emem

Sadness has a grip,

It can take a hold of anyone within reach.

It has tentacles like an octopus.

Depression can run you down,

Can take your energy and make you frown.

You'll look like a fool,

Trying to fight the sadness inside .

You can't run or hide.

Sadness has men on the inside,

To take control,

Depression won't loosen it's hold.

Not for a single moment in time.

Things will worsen,

When you believe they will better.

You will die,

Dying is a fact of life,

An unavoidable consequence of being alive.

There is nothing that can hide.

Your silly little secrets will get out in time.

When you lie there dying,

Everyone will know.

You've been a fake,

Your tears weren't worth it in the end.

You cried for weeks at a time.

Missing them,

Death cannot be avoided.

Sadness will seep in,

And depression will takes it's hold.

Don't try to gain control.

Fighting will make it worse.

Let the sadness roll off in waves,

Let the calming sea take it's place.

It'll all be okay.

Live for the moment in sorrow.

Cry and cry all night long.

Tomorrow will be different.
