Possibility family

Mon, 01/22/2018 - 17:57 -- Maxim

We were all born into a family
Relatives and siblings
When we commit we submit to our family

What if you were born to be

in the tree
On the broken branch
That fell so easily it's hard to believe

That something caused you to go
Cast you away plucking you from the very flower from which
You were grown

I'm sorry there was nothing I could do
I was helpless as a babe
I wish I could have helped
To heal the part of your heart that was torn apart
And to mend the ripped seams
To glue the trust that grew rust that corroded away that day

What happened I don't remember
For I was not existent
When my family was insistent to end

Mother, you cast away
Father, I regret I could not convince
That family was more than just this

I apologize for what I did not do
I apologize for what I could not say
I apologize, family of mine,
Dear family. Of possibility
