Plan

High school education,

College education.

Find what you love,

Discover new things.

Be what you want to be,

You can do anything.

Don't make the same mistakes as me,

Don't worry you'll be fine.

This is what we're taught,

This is what we hear.

Yet, is making ourselves something,

as easy as they make it seem?

We just need one job,

one career to last our life.

Yet, in this economy,

Can we really find our dreams?

College loans, car payments, rent,

Groceries, bills to pay, and now I'm out of gas.

Applied for a part time job while I'm at school,

But they don't want students who can't work over break.

There's stress and there's struggle,

but wait I see a light.

I think that's hope out ahead of me,

I think I'll follow it, I think I might.

One job can save me,

just one job is all I need.

One job can save you,

just one job is all you need.

For me, it was a fashion designer,

when I was ten.

For me, it was an advertiser,

years from then.

For me, for my college degree,

it's event planning.

The job that's for me is to plan weddings,

to make somebody's day the best that it can be.

Just one job is all I need,

to keep me happy and secure.

Just one job is all I want,

Is it really that obscure?
