Perfection Is Imperfection

Location

I've once relied on someone,

for love, security, and fun.

I've learned you're the only person who cares for you most,

only you can keep yourself so close.

I can get through so much misery,

without craving anyone's sympathy.

Only I can get myself through pain,

and still stay in my own lane.

You must stay strong for you,

go through things knowing you can win or lose.

Even through all the hardships, I'm kind,

even when I feel cold-hearted, admiration I still find.

I fight hard, yet love harder,

because my minds large, but my hearts larger.

My mistakes push me further,

I wish I'd learned a lot of things much earlier.

My great gramps would appreciate who I'm becoming, if he could see this,

because my strength and compassion to move ahead is what makes me flawless.
