Perception of Beauty
Why do I feel beautiful?
Why is it now that I feel the most beautiful, as I stand here with tears streaming down my cheeks.
Blood running down my arm.
Why do I feel.... Beautiful?
Why do I feel beautiful as I wipe the tears from my neck and as they drip onto my slit skin.
The salty sting is how I feel beautiful. Because that sting reminds me of pain.
And that pain...
Well, it reminds me of you.
You. You. You make me feel.
When I don't have you to make me feel I have to make myself feel.
Cut. Tears. Sting. Pain. You.
Cut. Tears. Sting. Pain. You.
Cut. Tears. Sting. Pain. You.
It always comes back to you.
I feel beautiful because you see me.
Now of all times you choose to
see me, mixture of blood and tears.
But you see me.
And that's all it takes for me to feel beautiful.
My perception of beauty is my problem.
If I continue to depend on you to make me feel beautiful,
Will I ever be beautiful?
